When do I get new application forms ?

Admission season begins around September/ October each year. The Website is updated with timelines and details from August onwards

Where do I get the new application forms from?

 Where do I submit the application form?

It can be submitted online.

What is the cost of a new application form?

It is Free!

What happens after I submit the application form?

On submission of the application form you will receive an application number.

After reviewing your application you may be invited for a diagnostic  assessment and an interaction based on which the School Management will make an admission offer.

What is the criteria for selection during interaction?

The selection procedure is as follows:

All applicants undergo a diagnostic assessment in the chosen subject combination. Based on the application details (marksheets of Grade 8 and 9) and the results of the assessment, selected candidates will then be called for an interaction with the admissions team.

The interview focuses on:-

  1. i) Applicants aptitude for the chosen stream.
  2. ii) Physical and mental fitness such that the child can seamlessly integrate into the class.
  3. ii) A shared belief for the education of the child between parents and the School

On passing the selection process a letter of confirmation is sent to the parent. Within one week of receipt of the admission offer , the processing fee and first installment of the academic fees needs to be paid to enroll the child into the school. The fee payment needs to be done through Demand Draft or online payments

What does the admission diagnostic assessment include? 

A diagnostic assessment to determine the applicant’s academic level will be conducted for all applicants for PUC.

Applicants will be tested on chosen subjects in the combination of that stream

The syllabus will be the concepts covered in first term of Grade 10

In addition the test will include English and 2nd Language- Hindi/ Kannada/ French.

The test primarily has Short answers and MCQs along with one essay/ analytical question.

The duration of the assessment would be between 1.5 to 3 hours.

There no interaction with parents or student during assessment. Results of the assessment will be published within 10 days of the date of assessment

  • How old is The Deens group of Institutions?

The Deens Academy came into being in June 2006, we are over a decade old.

  • What are the various institutions under the Deens Educational Trust

We have 2 main CBSE school campus

  1. Deens Academy Whitefield campus- Grade 1-12
  2. Deens Academy Gunjur campus- Kindergarten to Grade 10

We have 2 Kindergarten campuses

  1. KiDeens on Borewell road &
  2. KiDeens _ Ramagondanahalli Campus

Deens PU College at Kathirguppe Gunjur is the latest institution which commenced classes in 2019.

  • Do we need to take fresh admission in PUC or CBSE Grade 11 if you are already a student of Deens Academy

Yes , Students from Grade 10 need to reapply for PUC 1 or Grade 11 CBSE. Deens Students however will get priority for Grade 11 and PUC admissions. The final admission however is dependent on a diagnostic assessment which all children undertake .

  • Do you take admission directly to PUC 2?

Yes we do.. However the child would need to preferably have completed PUC 1 from another college and get a Valid TC from that college.

FEE FAQs

  • What does the fee include?

The fee includes tuition fees, lab fees, sportsfees, library fees, exam fees etc..The Annual fee does not include transportation, field trips, canteen charges, personal stationery items of students, textbooks, notebooks and school uniforms.

  • Is there any other fees

Yes there is a onetime payment of Processing fees which needs to be remitted only at the time of admission.

  • Is there a sibling discount?

There is a sibling discount for your younger child at Deens, which is 5% of annual fee which is reduced in Component 3 of the fees.

  • What is the fee refund policy?

(a) refund before the session commences is 60% of what has been paid as tuition fees. The processing fee is non-refundable  under any circumstances.

(b) no refund of any amount after the session commences; rather the full years fee has to be remitted for the TC to be processed.

  • How much of the fees can be claimed for tax rebates?

Parents applying for bonafide certificates stating fee paid for tax purposes, are intimated that only 60% of fee paid  is declared as tution fee, since the remaining amount goes towards other expenses for the student, which does not endorse tax benefit.
